Fleurish Flower Farm is a hidden gem nestled just north of Elk Point, South Dakota. Our mission is to create a charming, hands-on experience for locals and tourists alike.

Fleurish is like flower Disney World. It’s a summery, dreamy, magical adventure. The farm sits on the lot of a former 1800s farming operation. It now features heirloom-variety flower fields, quaint picket fences, and the farm’s original summer kitchen.

At our popular summertime You-Pick events, visitors have the freedom to wander among our blooms and pick their own stems. Flower enthusiasts leave with bouquets as gorgeous as their Instagram stories.

If you glance up during a You-Pick event, you might see planes circling for landing. In true South Dakota fashion, Fleurish’s grass runway sits peacefully in a neighboring cornfield. It may seem like an unexpected feature, but we’ve found flowers and aviation to be a dynamic duo for many rural pilot couples.

Fleurish Flower Farm’s roots actually date back to more than 100 years ago. Our whole property sits right on top of a 1800s farming operation owned by the Kalstad family. Fleurish’s flower fields stand on rich soil of the former cattle yard.

Across the way, you will spot the heart of our farm: Thelma’s Summer Kitchen. It’s featured in our logo and a popular spot to grab a sweet treat during You-Pick events. This darling building originally belonged to Thelma Kalstad; it was the heart of her farm, too. Here she cooked and canned her summertime recipes. One summer, Thelma planted the iconic porch vines and carefully tended flowers that still grow nearby!

Her summer kitchen is truly a glimpse into a bygone era. When you visit, be sure to grab a cupcake inside, relax on the front porch swing, and drink in the farm’s timeless charm.
